The First Ramsar Site of Thailand – Thale Noi Waterfowl Park
Thale Noi Waterfowl Park or Thale Noi Non-hunting is located in the area of Tambom Thale Noi in Phattalung Province, Thailand, it is the most famous attraction of Phatthalung. Thale Noi Waterfowl Park is the largest reserve in Thailand and also is the first Ramsar site of Thailand. Thale Noi ground covers an area of around 286,000 hectares and has more than hundred species of waterfowls. It has been selected as a significant wetland area of the country, including areas in three provinces. Interesting things at the Thale Noi Waterfowl Park are the Thale Noi Palace, sea of blooming lotus in the morning, flocks of waterfowls, the nesting and egg-laying grounds of waterfowls at Ao Mo and those at Khuan Thale Mong, Khuan Khi Sian Ranger Station, and the Sala Nang Riam viewpoint.
